Dear Rick, Donna, Mike & Mel,
It was so wonderful to have your group Joia at our
"together" support group. Thank you, thank you. As you heard many of the
members are at different stages of survivorship. The sharing and the unity
of this group is very important to all involved.
The Spriegel research on support groups showed that
unity and belonging to a support group added to the quality and the length
of survivorship for people diagnosed with cancer.
Your Unity Through Percussion workshop on Tuesday
was a big boost to this unity. Your music, group building game, community
sharing and most of all laughter were all healing and added to the quality
of life for all involved. Thank you again for being so generous with your
talents, time and healing energies.
